About

McQuillen Technical Consulting helps small and mid-sized teams make smart, secure technology decisions without MSP lock-ins or costly per-device monthly fees. We combine extensive technical knowledge with clear communication so your organization optimize your technology use. Founded in 1999 by Harry McQuillen, McQuillen Technical Consulting provides personalized IT expertise built on decades of hands-on experience. Unlike larger firms where clients may see a rotating cast of consultants, Harry works directly with each organization, developing a deep understanding of their unique systems and goals. At McQuillen Tech we believe in:

  • Security-first: In the sometimes bleak world of technology security, we make sure all of your important decisions are made with security first and foremost.
  • Cross-platform Support: We support you with the hardware and software you need and love, not what’s best for our bottom line.
  • Cloud clarity: Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Dropbox, Slack, Adobe and more – we find the right mix for your workflows.
  • AI Enablement: Practical adoption of ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, and Gemini for real work.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Documentation, training, and onboarding support so you keep control of your systems and accounts.

Approach

Every engagement starts with listening. We map goals, risks, and constraints; then we recommend the simplest, most resilient path that fits your team today and scales tomorrow. Most work is hourly or on flexible retainers so you can get the insight and support you need without excessive monthly per-device or per-user fees.
